Bird Watching

Anna could watch the birds in our backyard for hours. I mean HOURS.  She gets so excited when she sees a bird and sometimes even spots one that we don't see.  She points out every. single. bird in all of her books.  Sometimes we don't read books, we count birds.  This morning she watched four blue birds on our deck for close to an hour.  After a few minutes, I got the camera out and started snapping away.

Here's one of my first pictures of the group.  I was pretty disappointed with the lens on the camera, but didn't think I'd have enough time to change lenses.  Boy, was I wrong.  Like I said, Anna watched the birds for almost an hour so I had lots of time. I'm so glad I did run upstairs and get the zoom lens. Check out these close-ups!!

The week before Easter we spent sometime with Allen's family in TN for spring break.  We enjoyed nice weather and lots of time on the playground.  Anna was not thrilled with the pool.  Ok, that's not true.  Terrified is a closer description! A friend has offered to give her swim lessons this summer, and I'm afraid Anna might flunk out of her private lesson!! Anyway, Anna loved all the attention she got from her cousin, Grandparents, and GreatGrand Mother.

Easter weekend my family celebrated at our house.  Abby had some AWESOME news for us! Starting in July, she'll be working at CLEMSON!! Woo Hoo!!  I'm so very proud of her!! We had an all out Clemson party to celebrate with her.  Easter morning we went to church after a little Easter bunny fun at the house.  Anna noticed her Easter basket right away but was content to sit on Allen's lap and just look for awhile.  She warmed up to her new duckie and picked a book for Allen to read eventually.  After church we had an outdoor Easter egg hunt.  I'm not sure who had more fun- Anna finding the eggs or Marc hiding the eggs!!

The week after Easter my parents had a college baseball trip planned.  Since Allen was traveling for a few days, Anna and I decided to tag along for part of it.  Anna got to meet the Clemson Tiger and even visit Clemson for a game.  She also got to meet one of our favorite people - PC!! I don't have any pictures from this part of our adventure - they are on someone else's camera.

Anna's Playhouse

You've probably heard a rumor or two about Anna's playhouse.  Well, I finally got my act together to put a few pictures of it up for you to see.  This was a project and a half for my friend and I.  We have a a few details to finish for the tree but it is hard to work on it now because Anna's always in it!

The first weekend the house was finished we had some visitors.
