Toddler Pancakes

Toddler Pancakes  (part adaptation part invention)

½ c. cooked and pureed butternut squash and carrots (95% butternut squash)

1 egg

1 /3 c. and 1 TB flour

½ tsp baking powder

¼ c almond milk

1 pinch cinnamon

½ tsp vanilla

¾ TB sugar

Beat egg, mix in pureed vegetables.

Stir in flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and sugar.

Add milk. Mix until blended. 

Cook as you would regular pancakes.

Give to toddler and hold your breath to see if she will eat them.

Jump up and down, clapping hands, shouting, “YAY!!” when she does. 

Smile and laugh when she laughs at you for being so silly.

Happy Valentine's Day!

This little girl hopes you have a beautiful day!

I know you can't see much of it, but do you like her shirt?  She wasn't in a modeling type mood so I didn't get a great shot.  Maybe later.  Anyway, it was a DIY project! Here's a link to the instructions I followed - Heart Shirt. I had friend over who also has little girls and we made them each a special heart shirt for today. Here's a picture of the four shirts we made.  I think they all turned out great!  I just love this idea. Can't wait to try it out with some spring and summer ideas!

Mirror Friends

Anna made a new friend in our hotel room last week.  She had the best time playing with the cute little girl who lived in the mirror.  They played dress up, peek-a-boo, and laughed A LOT. She even gave "kisses" to her new friend.
