One Step Ahead

As parents we hope to stay one step ahead of our toddlers as they are exploring and learning about the world around them.  However, I hate to admit that Anna is typically one step ahead of us. She keeps us on our toes for sure.

Our bar stools have been pulling double duty as bar stools and as a barrier between our living room and the foyer since she became mobile.

Well, as you can see they don't work as well as they used to! :)

Crafty

For my bird lover, I appliqued this shirt. Like it? She loves it, and points out the birds by saying "tweet tweet" to anyone she sees. Even the lady walking by the house on the sidewalk across the street....

Notice, she put on her own sunglasses? :)

Never thought I'd say this, but I love the full out pigtails!

Zoo Friends

We took Anna to the NC Zoo yesterday to introduce her to some of the friends that "hang" out with her everyday.  Both the elephant and the giraffe that hang in her room live at the NC Zoo. :)  Anna loved watching the giraffes.  She got very excited about seeing them and was mesmerized.  She was bummed about leaving the viewing area to move on to other exhibits but enjoy the other animals when we saw them. Except the seals. She was terrified of the harbor seals as they swam past us at the underwater viewing window.  Who knew? Seals are scary!  We took our old camera and it was acting up (which is why it is the old camera!) so we only have a few pictures.  But we are now members of the Zoo, so we'll be back for more pictures!
