Hometown Baseball

We spent last Friday night at the ballpark. We've heard great things about the stadium so we decided to take our nephew to a game. My sister and some of our friends came along so it was 5 adults to one kid but we made it through anyway. He was really into it - however I'm not sure if it was the baseball or the crazy stunts between innings that really had his attention. He was fascinated by the radar gun and was always reporting back just how fast the pitch was. We ended the night with ice cream served in a mini helmet. As my sister said, "I'm a sucker for the souvenir cup." Of course - we can't forget the firework show after the game was over.
Because an 8 year old never poses normally for a picture.

Looks like 28 year olds don't either.

Saturday we went to the Furman game to see my sister at work.
She was covering the double headed which didn't end up so well for Furman.
We enjoyed our time on campus anyway.

The hit that made history.
This homerun hit broke a freshman conference record.

Isn't she lovely?
